What is paint to thinner mix ratio?


solvent based paint more absorb wood. use water based paint. depending on effect trying achieve. put sort of sealer on wood first. unless purposely trying show grain of wood. in case, i'd use satin polyurethane. coat of clear seal wood, without being real shiny. if put polyurethane, makes wood nonporous , can use solvent based paint or water based. solvent ratio 2 parts paint 1 part reducer solid covering. if trying detail, id go 1 part paint 1 part reducer. water based paint airbrush 4 parts paint, 1 part reducer.

not sure ratio and/or type of paint use when airbrushing plywood
