many people in united states have ancestors come other countries or may have directly come country. question this: why many people brag countries came or countries of ancestry if live in united states? many people have fly flags of other countries,have dual citizenship, , tell how great these other countries yet continue live in united states. example, friends of mine brag , proud of being "italians" yet have lived in united states of lives. have ancestors have come other countries , have lived in united states of life , consider myself american. categorize myself, consider myself american. if people proud of these other countries stops them returning them? when italian-americans , african-americans(just name few) become americans?

not asking these questions offend feel offended country live in , rights , freedoms many have died defending country. answers appreciated.
