What kind of gun should I buy?


here little bit me:
-i not hunt, nor have desire
-i eagle scout , have shot rifles (small caliber .22) , shotguns (12 , 24 gauge) in life sport. have never shot handgun open possibility
-i not carry it- concealed or open: live in maryland need tons or permits , open carry makes me uneasy

using collecting , recreation, , if need home defense (i live in safe area no crime , high gun ownership, don't see many problems occurring)

leaning towards cheaper 12 gauge shotgun easy handle me, easy load, , fun (i shoot clay pigeons). need cheaper gun young , can't afford expensive gun
