Chickens Care??? Help Please!!?


in need of advice more experienced in caring chickens. once had flock of 6 chickens, because of sad , unfortunate event, there one. 10 months old adult.

i've been trying find adult or @ least laying pullets buy no longer alone, has been alone several months , feel bad because know chickens social animals. it's winter , don't want cold herself in coop.

dilemma since winter, cannot find locally or online selling adult chickens. i'm thinking of buying chicks because time adult hens available, chicks grown. thing is, such harsh time of year introduce them. (though doesn't cold since live in arizona) need ask, how long have keep baby chicks separated 1 hen before no longer threat them?

if read of that, thank , please offer advice should do. love chicken , not want have resort giving away.
