Is there a conflict between Canada and USA?

there have been conflicts, , usa pretty funny things themselves.

softwood lumber dispute example.
canada produces lumber cheaper in usa, free trade between countries used ship lot of lumber south - being cheaply made quite popular.
except lumber barons complained government - our cheap lumber putting loggers out of work, nobody wanted expensive product... canadians figured try becoming more competative. wrong.

instead government placed import levy on canadian lumber imports making super expensive ship usa, , government got huge props it's citizens protecting jobs. (except means consumers paying more 'made in usa', housing , contstruction costs go in usa result - , canada sells cheap lumber china instead)

jokes go both ways :)

said people usa tend belittle isn't 'american', nobody ever allowed or better - culture doesn't allow , second-rate in eyes more not.
fine too, has quirks in ways... heck worship beaver, can't throw stones.

i dont mean literally conflict hear lot of jokes , ironic comments canada , canadians americans.why that?
