Rotate household ceiling fan by alternator?


please suggest whether below scenario works.

connect small alternator/ac generator household ceiling fan belt.
first time, rotate ceiling fan through regular power supply.
after fan gaining speed, switch of power supply.
connect output of alternator/generator fan. (remember - alternator connected fan)

(imagine there automatic way switch of power supply after fan gaining required speed, , imagine after power turned off, alternator/generator starts powering fan)

of course, there loss, , hence current output starts damping.
@ least time rotate? - if fan rotated power supply 1min, should rotate current generated alternator 10 min.
