Which city in Japan should I visit on my first trip there?


saving can out of each paycheck , bonus (if one), can take 3-5 day trip japan. wondering city should visit, first time in country. i'm going many reasons, , not usual otaku stuff anime. i'm more culture, food, scenery, , architecture. if think should see more 1 city, please let me know rotation of must see places aren't spread out. pictures , videos going taken while i'm there, please let me know places need avoid due cameras not being allowed or people becoming irritable , rude due being photographed/recorded (whether accident or not). oh , not worry there being language barrier, i'm studying japanese language via rosetta stone.
