paramount @ 5555 melrose in rather scruffy part of hollywood. has glorious views of mountains , hollywood sign on smoggiest of days, beyond there's not beauty off lot. perimeter around studio sort of drab, , interesting thing there convent nuns sell yummy, extremely pricey pumpkin bread. there small one-story houses , few apartment buildings within walking distance of lot, , if go gower there's trader joe's , other things you'd want in neighborhood. larchmont village few minutes drive away, , it's got trendy cafes, restaurants, , boutiques. it's charm makes more desirable , therefore pricier place be. rents there tend higher. neighboring west hollywood far more chic, has reputation of being bit flamboyant (not because it's favorite amongst gay men, because it's place has numerous stores selling trendy underwear men , people totally unabashed pda; 40-year-olds make out passionately in broad daylight on street corner, haha. it's not place want mellowness or prim). los feliz , silver lake within easy driving range of paramount , popular amongst people in 20s , 30s. it's hipster. if hipsters make roll eyes, prepared optical workout.
