Is repeatedly slapping an eight year old abuse?


ok today me younger brothers , parents went shoe shopping 8 year old brother. wanted pair of shoes lit dad said weren't appropriate snow brother started crying. swearer @ dad. when got in car dad repeatedly slapped him on face 7-10 times. took away of electronics month , when got home spanked him. , wasn't light swat, extremely hard spanking. 13 year old daughter , crying entire time , i've been crying afternoon. brother seems fine , bubbly every angry @ day! brother swearing wrong , agree dad taking away electronics think spanking way hard , slaps plain abuse. slapping small 8 year old on face repeatedly wrong. scared brother sneak ds or tv or because he's done multiple times before , dad hit him more. mad @ father , can't stop thinking , crying. think dad abuse , how can past this?
