gt610 wont massive improvement on onboard graphics solution ... entry level graphics card designed basic desktop tasks such office applications,web browsing , photo editing
tight budget ( no more $50 ) "sapphire 100323-2l radeon hd 6570 1gb"( http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... ) @ $49 produce playable frame rates on league of legends @ medium detail ( no lag ) run games such call of duty modern warfare 3 ( medium detail ) , world of warcraft ( medium detail )
requires no power supply upgrade due low power requirements ( around 60w @ load , 20w idle ) . , in terms of performance around 20% faster gt610 , 30% faster onboard graphics solution
ive had @ ncix website ( know since watch linus tech tips on youtube linus sebastion works company ) , ive found sub $20 card in shape of "msi radeon hd 6450 625mhz 2gb 1.3ghz gddr3 dvi hdmi vga pci-e video card"( http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=73221&... ) .. isnt fast hd6570 better gt610 , @ $19-99 ( after rebate ) worth considering .... better onboard graphics , 2gb of video memory , 1300mhz memory clock got decent specs .. theres 625mhz core clock , support pci-express x16 v2.1 ( if motherboard supports ) .. cards backwards compatible above cards work pci-express x16 slots ( difference faster pci-e x16 slots improved data thoroughput in games isnt noticable )
in summary hd6450 best choice @ $20 budget ,,, problem being not going massive jump in performance onboard graphics @ price point ... increase budget around $50 , choice becomes better ... , hd6570 recommended above excellent choice .. around $55 may able find popular "hd6670" offers best performance of entry level graphic cards ... ive used hd6670 on many recent client builds , gaming performance impressive such cheap card ... check out "powercolor ax6670 1gbk3-h radeon hd 6670 1gb "( http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... ) .... @ $59 choice .. no additional power required , performs in games ( run league of legends @ medium high ) ...
@ end of day dedicated graphics cards improvement on onboard/intergrated graphics ,however how story ... gt610 improve gaming performance need replaced better games , more demanding games released... hd6450 @ same price offers better performance on gt610 if budget cant go higher go hd6450
if can go high $50 hd6570 great choice offering significant improvement in gaming performance ... , if can stretch far £60 hd6670 must buy ...
