Did you visit the country you migrated to before moving there?


im planning on migrating either australia or new zealand in next 5 years after qualify mental health nurse in 2 years , 3 years working experience planned visit both (their chosen cities i'm interested in living) , have done alot of research online on years. friend said instead of spending money holiday (my daughter , both go) save towards moving , have when move , instead continue research online many people migrate without visiting first various countries due cost.

wise? see practical money saving side of have liked visit. other option going alone , staying in hostels (im 26) none of friends interested in visiting oz (cost , distance) , working holiday visa , spend 8 weeks holiday july-september there while little 1 mum or dads mum (she spends entire summer either 1 anyway). suggestions?
