Can I get citizenship in Canada if I marry a Canadian citizen but I have a criminal record?

no.

1 criminally admissible canada if convicted of offense, if committed in canada, carries maximum sentence of indictment. have specific offenses under criminal code of canada, felonies indictable offenses in canada. doesn't matter sentence received or whether finished or not... maximum have been in canada.

if try visit canada, upon scanning passport, see record , deny entry. if spouse attempts sponsor permanent residency, need pass medical , background check -- , denied due criminal background. cic may allow apply rehabilitation. however, requires apply @ embassy, pay fee, , wait 5 years -- each offense. possible minor offenses.

canada doesn't give 'second chances' because busy trying give people first chances. canada has tens of millions of people trying country , few billion come if could. none of these people criminals. canada has enough problems immigrants committing crimes... doesn't need bring in people knows willing commit crimes.

i have several felonies served time , have been rehabilitated. if find in canada marry can citizenship? if not why don't canadians feel people should 2nd chances?
