The hobbit and Lord of the rings question?


hobbit chronologically , publish-date first. children's adventure tale. lighter read. ring , couple of characters continue on lotr. ring in book not made important. happens in fotr.
if you're starting out, since hobbit movie in theaters, read first if want, saving best, lotr last. darker meatier read. hobbit first movie better book, has been given dark tone in lotr. prefer story in lotr book(s) better films, love visuals in films.
won't lost reading them out of order either.

can tell me how related..? , book-wise, order should read books? hobbit lord of rings or other way around?! much!!!
