How to get Fender Bassman like breakup in a tube amp?

want add there several types of "break -up" , people talking clipping of power tubes rather speaker break up. many people, including me, believe 6l6 best sounding tube, @ break up.

being said, part of attraction of bassman fact desired model is/was 4x10 tweeds made between '55-'60. that's baby ;'(. 4 10 inch speakers break differently 2 12 inch speakers, or single 15 inch.

it's complicated spence, basically, norm absolutely correct blues deluxe isn't going sound bassman-sorry. (in fact, never thought reissues sounded original 4x10 tweed-close, no cigar)

there plenty of amps break beautifully though. haven't played through blues deluxe in awhile, you've heard me raving '48 magnatone. she'll never replace bassman, she's got own sweet voice.
