Watercolour painting without palettes?


forgot palette. if want start painting right best palette use non-absorbent.

paper towel? won't work.
dinner plate? fine.

became fed cleaning paint palette time i've been using tin foil wrapped around magazines. saran wrap work. piece of glass picture frame, pretty that's flat , non-absorbent make suitable palette. when watercolor use plastic cover watercolor set.

mum brought me load of art supplies christmas: charcoal, paintbrushes, lots of canvases, watercolour pencils, watercolour art book , watercolour paints, no palettes? i'm new watercolour art, i'm not sure if i'm right or not, don't need palettes watercolouring?
