What would happen to the drug cartel violence in Mexico if the citizens were allowed to own guns?


while read loads of mexican gun violence weekly, while mexico not allow common citizens own guns of kind. mexican "gun control" indeed prove criminals have guns when public not allowed own them. prohibiting public own guns doesn't stop gun violence nor mexican deaths in noticeable way.

we read how mexican citizens terrorized , murdered cartels--innocent people, not members of opposing cartels. different if defend themselves? (i notice current gun control laws in mexico don't seem hindering cartels any.)
