On Skype why can I be heard but not seen? I can see and hear them?


i've got new webcam. skype friend. can see , hear her, can hear me. there's black box loading time me, , on end, says "intiating video". do?

- i'm on computer. windows vista.
- she's on ipad.
- first time using skype.
- webcam has red light on.

- i'm not using webcam anywhere else @ same time.
