Employment rights back to work mum UK?
working 9 till 5 monday thursday on 30hr contract per week had been employed 8 years , whilst on maternity leave (now have 2 dependents aged 10 months , 6 yrs) employer (having 3 units on 1 site care home/brain injury/physio) decided close 1 due financial reasons, , told having contract terminated, employees , must reapply possibility of redundancy. consultation period started in october , finished on 30th of november , maternity leave finished on 27th of november , taking months annual leave consecutively. during consultation period, told required have meeting manager discuss concerns , work hour availability, stated in person , in writing required child friendly hours accommodate child care. have since had work interview discuss new contract stated again verbally , in writing hours available work accommodate child care commitments. have received letter today dated 24th of december declining request stating must work 7 day shift pattern on 26hr contract starting on 3rd of january , have still not been given definite shift either (07:30-14:30) or late (14:30 -21:30) nursery doesn't open till 7:30 , breakfast club eldest doesn't open till 8 am... employer full aware of...where stand legally please help
