yes. speakers require amplifier use. tv's don't have built in audio amplifiers.

but, why want waste money on piece of crap ? dj speakers built physically tough, not have sound.

pair of dj speakers cost $300. same money, can buy yamaha 371 5.1 home theater audio receiver ($170 amazon.com), , polk 5.1 speaker set, 6750, newegg.com $170.
