Planing a trip to North Italy HELP PLEASE?


im going new year in northen italy need little trip.
fly milan im thinking staying there 2 days, im thinking going verona day , biggest dilema should go vicenza or padova or other city near venice day ?
first thought go vicenza padova seemed old city im in dilemma here...
go venice 2 days , fly venice home...

please if have suggestion not hesitate have still open bookings can change them.

, last thing prefere spend new years eve in milan ? ( know locals suggest bad idea stay there hey neve saw city me worth try :)
