If I do vocal exercises while sick, will I damage my voice?

i'm not sick, more last night in cold. i'm singing today , notice can reach lower notes thank heavens. if did exercises, able keep beautiful low notes, or damage vocal cords permanently? can sing perfect g below middle c, handicap :d
