In the middle ages with Kings and Queens...?

word "throne," not "thrown". verb "to throw" has nothing special chairs used kings , queens.

sons inherited if had older sisters. in countries, wasn't until modern period -- 16th century on -- women inherit thrones @ in places, , in countries (such france), never so.

if king had daughters, usual practice male relative inherit. give idea of how problematic lack of sons be, when king henry of england died, left 1 legitimate child, daughter. had named heir before death, england wasn't ready female monarch. male cousin took throne, major civil war broke out. wasn't resolved until agreed daughter's son next monarch when cousin died.

with kings , queens...you know how king needs heir when dies? well, if has son , daughter, daughter older...does son take thrown, or daughter since she's older?
