How can I teach myself to play the guitar?


bought electric guitar year or 2 ago , did lessons, dropped them because playing basketball , baseball, on top of high school. i'm not playing sports anymore, have lot more free time (not lot though, i'm still in school). want learn play well, don't have enough money or time take lessons (i've looked around , closest place gives lessons 20 min away live). tips on how @ guitar? i'd able read both tabs , treble clef, although treble harder since play baritone in schools top band, i've become accustomed base clef. anyways, want able play along songs like, i'm beginner @ guitar. there's little bit remember, not lot. solid tips becoming @ electric guitar on own?
