understanding before treaty of versailles, severe inflation point of increasing prices 4 fold underway. after signing, hyperinflation overtook currency hundreds of times price levels existed during day of signing. question why did reparations assigned germany not become obsolete result of extreme depreciation of german currency occurred directly after? if hyperinflation occurred in united states, wouldn't our current national debt become next nothing?
