however, gold has been re-established tier 1 financial asset under basel 3 banking rules, of jan 1, 2013. means banks can hold gold @ 100% of value risk-free financial asset, @ same level u.s. bonds. it's unknown how many banks start holding gold, gold offer advantage on cash , bonds because gold inflation-proof. puts gold in different category silver, platinum, , palladium because gold financial asset , others commodities held investment purposes.

the price of silver has gone more number times gold.
