Why is there the misconception that tornadoes suck things up? They blow.?


when difference of temperature between ground , top of troposphere great, air said unstable. warmer air under rises fast , causes updrafts , downdrafts.

air moves in 2 different directions, there layer of turbulent air called, wind shear. can dangerous light aviation , worth issuing sigmet warning, i.e. special weather warning aviation.

such shear wind violent spins, counter-clockwise in northern hemisphere, not always. since due extreme unstable air mass above, pulls upwards. when base of funnel of spinning air reaches ground, lifts debris , when recognize tornado.

yes, pressure lower inside tornado. yes, "sucking" in sense. yes, wind moving , "blowing." don't see contradiction.

everyone believes tornadoes giant vacuum cleaner suck things up. read on meteorology website pressure inside them low suck , blow things inside them.

true? , did myth come sucking?
