Any tips for ice skating?
1. dress properly. means no jeans, wear sweatpants or leggings or other stretchy pants. 1 pair of long, thin socks. gloves. don't turn snowman.
2. rental skates - make sure choose correct size (and if it's wrong size, don't afraid take them right size!), , lace them properly. not time subscribing stupid loose-laced fashion trend.
3. swallow pride! - whatever instructor asks do, it. don't dismiss beneath or childish. have learn all. falling , getting up, marching steps, wiggles, swizzles. @ first test i, 22 year old (then), doing backward wiggles alongside 4 year old. did care? not chance.
4. pay attention! - class paying attention. can goof off later.
5. practice! - see many teenagers pay attention during lessons , goof off instead of practicing. these ones quit few weeks later whining aren't progressing enough. never anywhere without practice!
i'm complete beginner boyfriend paying lessons in coming weeks. first 1 tomorrow , i'm nervous. skaters have tips me? welcome!
