Are Internet Service Providers allowed to discriminate?
today called internet service provider (the supply cable tv abd phone service), have been having issues current provider, not mention going double monthly bill, decided switch new provider. on website saw great deal 50mb/s $40 month first year, i'm gonna in house year it's damn deal. mind you, on website have enter in exact address including unit number (i live in townhome) can tell speeds offered in area , price per month. when called company order service told me because tennant (which i'm not, own house) price $70 month , price listed online non tennant special only. me discrimination, considering speed available in area. if live right across street house in normal home (not townhome) service $40 month. licensed insurance agent , know insurance industry allowed discriminate based on location, best knowledge no others can , it's against law. question you. legal? or discrimination? or there logistical reason why service more expensive living in townhome? sorry such long post. details details details. thanks
