How to cut crown molding for a 150 degree angle wall?
yeah, can cut hundred test pieces till find works - or - can hold molding in miter saw in same position on wall. whatever angle cutting, divide in half , have matching cuts. of course you'll need cut left angle , right angle. 2 lefts or 2 rights make straight line. have reset saw each cut.
since it's 150 degree (though can't imagine sort of wall or corner) need cut @ 75 degrees. i'll bang out quick drawing you. sorry, drawing looked junk. didn't show anything. guess 1 of things need have skilled show you.
set saw if cutting angle on regular piece of wood. when put cm in, don't lay flat on table or flat against rest. set in place if wall table , ceiling rest. cut should come out fine.
sure, use @ least 1 test piece make sure you're going in right direction. can't tell how many times made left handed cut when needed right handed cut.
oh , measure twice (at minimum). cut piece of trim 30 1/2 inches 3 times before realized using half mark between 30 , 31. wanted 31 1/2, not 30 1/2. seems no matter how many times cut piece of wood still short.
have happy new year.
luck.
