Fishing: what are your top 5 goals in terms of fishing?

lake okeechobee ? couple of live here. remember first time drove it. stopped , jumped out, ran dam see it. real disappointment. shallow, majority less 4 feet deep, can hardly boat of it. silt has been huge problem decades. couple big shot old " pro " fishermen monopolize , own there , luck leaving cash in pocket. drain clean. must them. unfortunately, many things here in florida total b.s. here take money. , that"s truth> of fish on fishing shows caught in everglades south of main body of okeechobee. sorry :(

on other hand, there saltwater fishing. bass or 12 pound fish kinda puny. geeze, should @ least once tangle big fish, can pull in water, or have dig feet sand , lean able pull against them. @ of florida state records. 220 pounds tarpon, in neighborhood of 150-180 pounds. shark catching big cat fish, 4 foot 40 -50 pound fish. how goliath grouper ? 640 pounds state record. not unusual @ catch 200 pounders. have picture of 1 caught new years eve 1 year 2 200 pound guys sitting behind it, , had stick our heads seen in picture. have hid behind fish.

yes, indeed sports fans, should @ least once have story captain ahab. : )

edit : guys ever see 100 pound fishing line ? have several reels 180 pound line on them , 200 pound on some. can imagine needing that. it's kinda cool. , think fish can break 15 pound stuff. sounds .22 rifle going off. , ever sure make bunch of fish sandwiches. weigh 180 pounds. if don't fish dragging around before line ever breaks. that's alright kiddies we'll tie chair in boat.
