My friend's 5 year old can read and mine cannot?


no, don't worry @ all. not 5 year olds can read. older son 1 in preschool class sit , read whole book(with 8 words on each page) , knew abc's when 2 , 3 year old doesn't know abc's , can't talk half older son did @ age. 1 read in preschool class(he four) , other kids can read him when learned how. said, kids learn @ different paces. don't think 3 year old son ever learn abc's or because obsessed numbers , doesn't care letters.

sister's little boy didn't start reading until 6 1/2 , great little reader(he 8 now). if you, wouldn't worry @ all. try buy him phonics toys has letters on , teaches sounds. older son learned way , learned sounds , kinda put words when first started sounds toys. buy books , read, read, read son(which know doing that.) let him try different playing online games teaches reading or buy him innotab or leappad , too. don't know why worry little things parents, think that. said, don't think 3 year old ever learn abc's!! lol

i have friend who's son started read before turned 5. mine son turned 5 couple months ago , still can't read. read him, , try teach him some. has been going preschool couple years. should worried? when normal boys start reading?
