no tropical fish work because turtle's water cold them. thing i'd work long term common goldfish. make sure bigger turtle or @ least big try eat. should have short fins turtle won't bite @ them , if there aggression or nipping should prepared separate them. common goldfish, pretty huge , horribly messy turtle you'll need huge tank (or preferably pond) , need lots of filtration capacity.

if you're looking long term tankmate, don't go "any fish fine" because tropical fish pleco (or smaller schooling species) miserable in cold water (also makes them more susceptible disease) or inadequate number of members shoal or predator bugging them day trying 'play'. coldwater fish , ones big eaten. turtle fine , happy without fishy friends, if insist on getting 1 make sure have tank , filtration capacity support 1 water quality stays , doesn't harm fish or turtle. :)
