Im using a pentium4(1.7GHz)....what is the maximum amount of RAM I can install into my board?


cpu old, cpu limited 32 bits, ie 4gb, cpu old on motherboard old, means north bridge chip, ie dram controller, have limitations less 4gb, possibly low 256mb. , computer old have used old type of dram difficult find , expensive, , available in small capacity modules. if uses edo or sdram (non ddr), luck finding compatible dram larger 256mb.

bottom line, don't spend money on dinosaur. buy entry level computer $300 , light years ahead. new (dec 2012) entry level (cheap) computer overall 5 times faster p4 ever was, has hard drive 10 times bigger, etc etc.
