My toilet in bathroom stopped filling with water - nothing- Shower and sink work fine-?


it's not quite clear part of toilet dry.

bowl, part crap goes into? if that's case, fiddle flapper valve-- flat flexible rubber-like piece @ bottom of tank. if pull hand, flush way? may chain links flap valve operating handle has come loose or broken. if that's problem, it's easy fix cobble again. key chains, paper clips, use whatever works make handle pull on flap valve.

or tank dry? if that's case, reach in , fiddle supply valve-- on/off control filling tank. when things right, float (hollow metal or rubber ball) moves rod operates valve. if rod broken or float loose it, there problem. if valve needs replacement, harder job replace it. still, it's still diy job. new 1 (small expense) @ home store.

however, if you're getting no water tank when fiddle valve, , you're sure you've got supply valve (behind toilet) turned on full, problem elsewhere in house. broken pipes someplace? complete blockage corrosion? if that's grief, sorry, need plumber.
