Why are Eugenie and Beatrice princesses but poor Louise and James aren't?

when prince charles married had no real choice in regards titles or lack thereof of children, owing fact first in line throne , sons second , third in line.

when princess royal married married commoner. said first husband, mark phillips, offered peerage on marriage (much princes andrew, edward, , william given), turned down. similarly, when princess royal's son, peter, born queen offered bestow title on him, parents turned down - i'm not sure if queen offered title zara well, if did turned down.

titles "prince" , "princess" descend through male line; sons of monarch bestow on children, , sons pass on sons. daughters not pass on own children (unless said daughter monarch, case queen). thus, children of queen's sons able inherit title "prince" or "princess," while children of princess royal not. similar thing happened children of princess margaret; daughter of monarch (king george vi), titled "princess," children not; instead received titles fitting father's rank (earl of snowdon), , titled "viscount" , "lady".

in case of lady louise , viscount james it's special case. on marriage, prince andrew accepted dukedom , became duke of york, , when daughters born chose style them princesses, entitled because of relation queen. on prince edward's marriage accepted earldom , created earl of wessex (he expected created duke of edinburgh (his father's title), following passing of current duke of edinburgh , succession of prince of wales). when children born chose have them styled children of earl (thus "lord" or "lady") instead of children of prince (thus "prince" or "princess"). james, furthermore, uses father's lesser title, viscount severn. can assumed if/when prince edward becomes duke of edinburgh children styled children of duke - lady louise still known such, while james known father's lesser title, earl of wessex. can seen in children of prince richard, duke of gloucester, son styled earl of ulster , daughters styled "ladies."

i feel sorry them.
mean both grandchildren of queen , both paternal line of queen. unlike princess royal's daughter gets nothing, has olympic medal cares.....
