Hi - Planning a 10 day road trip in Europe (not in UK). Have not travelled much in Europe. Any suggestions?

if leave south of england, drive calais , cross channel,
go east , bit south through north of france. rheims might nice location stop. north walon area of belgium, namur stop.
east luxembourg, explore country, area around echternach pretty, maybe stop there.
north netherlands, utrecht, maybe amsterdam, parking there horrendious.
south flanders, stop in 1 of smaller towns, maybe gent.
home via calais.

oops, many stops allow full day in all.
adjust skipping stops in of countries.

if north of england or scotland, adjust taking ferry newcastle or hull, netherlands or belgium, still worth drive france though.

not drive have seen friends drive driving on motorways, in of countries easy @ home. when have done bit of find smaller roads not scary anymore either.
of western, central , of eastern europe safe drive.
use gps, satnav or whatever want call it, takes tension out of finding route, if go wrong, go flow , box tell how want go.

when driving, easy stop in small towns, villages or road side hotels there no town, remember not drink when have drive 'home'.

if not uk, fly 1 of mentioned countries, (luxembourg, brussels , amsterdam airports) , rent car there.
petrol/gas expensive , places stay can be, hostels can option can campsites when traveling car.

prefer drive across 2-3 european countries car on 10 -day period in april / may. adults. looking scenic , safe routes, taste of local cuisine, local markets , brief visits famous tourist spots. suggestions please!!
