Where do slugs come from?


live in southern oklahoma. have ever seen slugs (maybe once or twice growing up).
in 1 of bedrooms in house, there door leads backyard. bottom of door raised little bit , haven't had time fix it. i've seen insects , things crawl through, lately i've noticed slime trails leading outside room. i've found 7 slugs in room on past month. know coming from? i'd rid of them.
