Cutting off our Home Landline?

yeah, apparently family's bit old fashioend when comes technology , stuff. seems coworkers, neighbors, , family have done away phone landlines in favor of using cell phones instead. our home landline phone has died after 9 years of use before go buying new home landline phone, thought we'd consider few things first. if we'd stick old fashioend home landline or make jump using cell phones.
questions these:
1. have triple play optimum right (phone, tv, internet). there package internet , tv? if so, cheaper triple-play? , there early/termination fee's cancelling our phone service? (we'd stick verizon since that's both our cell phones using right now).
2. have 2 cell phones right now, 1 myself , 1 sister. if we're gonna going through this, we'd cell phone (just 1 both parents share since both work in same place , dad's not 'techie' mom 1 using most). how verizon charge adding phone , line? less our landline costing right now?
