safe if lot of people on @ same time you.

use normal precautions, , not show bling, electonic gadgets, or else attract thief. avoid eye contact looks least spooky. also, sure careful make sure nobody jumps (unlikely on busy "l" car.)

but, have off train; , many neighborhoods in chicago not safe @ night. thieves, molestors, , other unsavory characters may lurking around stations, or on of streets between station , final destination. might find cab take @ "l" station off.

so i'll attending andrew bird concert myself , rely on public trans. i've been on cta myself not @ night. i'm hoping i'd have company concertgoers take red line @ chicago&state... otherwise other tips? hop in cab instead?
