Does a non custodial parent have to pay for college?


if plan on filing fafsa, you'll expected use information whichever parent live with. sounds that's mom, since dad pays child support. sure include amount of child support receives (for entire household, if have siblings, not amount receives you).

schools require forms financial aid - called css profile or other institutional forms. forms may require information non-custodial parent.

so... answer question, technically neither parent *required* pay education, no, dad isn't required. may need information him though, depending on forms suny requires, in addition fafsa, able eligible aid.
