Is it easier to learn how to play bass guitar than 6 string guitar?


others have said (and it's great see general agreement): what's easy or hard not instrument itself, it's music 1 plays on it. strumming basic open chords or power chords on standard guitar awfully easy. thumping out steady root notes on bass pretty easy. lot of rock , pop music, part bass expected play idiot-simple (listen mony mony or wild thing, example). parts idiot-simple play on supposedly "hard" instrument piano, too.

instruments easy play badly.
instruments hard play well.

youtube victor wooten or michael manring sometime see can done playing challenging music on bass.

i'm not musically intelligent, not know if there name "regular" guitar. wondering how different bass guitar (in terms of learning how play, types of songs etc.)
