How do I delete thousands of emails from a mailbox?


if go mail box you'll see every e-mail has little box on left. if follow these boxes top dash/menu bar (where buttons send, delete,fw are) you'll see there identical box on left ..click , instantly 48,000 emails selected. there email wanna keep, click on it's own little box deselect it. afterwards go delete buttons , click (the 1 on dash/menu bar). , voila!! clean new!

i have mailbox folder 48,000 emails wish delete. please advise
