nhl doesn't know yet. 2 negotiating teams have agreed in principle 10-year deal, details of season haven't been hammered out yet. indications seem it's worked out while owners , players reviewing cba before respective votes on (which occur tomorrow).

said, later month sometime between 15th , 19th. bettman has stated 19th in last possible day start 48-game season, , daly noted while needed minimum of 8 days between deal being done , start of season. guess it's 17th because nhl likes start on thursdays reason.
