Why am I getting tax code 0T?

there 2 situations 0t code should used these days.

(1) have 2 sources of income , earn equivalent of personal tax-free allowance @ 1 of them, or (2) not entitled personal allowance (this incredibly rare).

in case it's whoever deals employer's payroll doesn't know they're doing. either completed p38(s) form , used code 0t instead of nt (stupid), or completed p46 incorrectly, or not asked complete p46, , used 0t instead of br (also stupid). it's possible they're using sort of outdated software whatever case isn't good.

call hmrc on 0845 3000 627 (8am 8pm mon fri, 8am 4pm sat) resolve.

i'm student , started first job , work 24 hours per month @ on £6 per hour.

on payslip i'm getting tax code 0t , being taxed 20%

right or paying tax?

:)
