Computer running slow! Pls Help!?

make sure cpu isn't getting hot, hot chips run slower. since computers automatically shut down when overheat, may not issue it's worth checking fans , cpu cooler dust anyway. if you've never done in 2 years you've owned it.

virus , malware common culprit slow running pcs. use both superantispyware , avira antivirus. (avira has real-time protection free) make sure run both of them, tend catch other doesn't. mindful there difference between viruses , malware.

go deep , investigate every folder delete might not want. surprised @ how deep , how many obsolete files buried. sure uninstall programs before manually deleting file folders, software may stick around in add/remove programs list if fail so. (at least in windows xp, i've used years)

if none of helps, suggest fresh install of windows. it's idea relatively often, maybe once year. if use computer lot , have tons of programs , files come , go. not mention fact feels nice start on fresh. (if have big enough hard drive, partition of off keep backup stuff want keep)

if none of works, suspect hardware may factor. case specific, can't on now.

my computer has begun running quite , performance at, when bought 2 years ago. harddrive full,allot useless stuff there somethings keep. recommend do. btw im not sure if have virus or if used.
