How do you calculate the frequency of an astable circuit?


if using timer ic 555 can calculated in following way.
f= 1.44/((ra+2rb)*c)
f= 1.44/((1+2*68)*10*10^3*10^-6)
f= 0.0105*10^2
f= 1.05[hz]

the first resistor 1k ohms, second 68k ohms , capacitor 10 microfarads. want know how work out answer not answer itself.
