How to get to NYC from Newark New Jersey by train?


have 2 easy choices newark penn station:

nj transit (n.e. corridor/nj coast line) train ny penn station (33rd st between 7th & 8th avs), there 3 or more trains per hour (depends on time of day). fare 1 way $5.00.
trains newark ny operate 4:54 2:10 am. ny penn newark 4:17 1:22 om weekdays. on weekends service starts around 6 , ends @ 2 am. when in station @ tv screens or main departure board next nj transit train new york destination. if decide go way buy ticket before on train (ticket window or machine) or charge $5.00 more on train).

[from newark airport - take airtrain newark int'l airport rail station , take ny penn station bound nj transit train. fare $12.50 (which includes airtrain fee of $5.50)].


path - service newark penn station world trade center in lower manhattan. midtown manhattan, transfer wtc train @ journal square 33rd st train (which has stops @ christopher st, 9th st/6th av, 14th st/6th av, 23rd st/6th av , 33rd st/6th av. path fare $2.25 1 way. due storm damage path operates 5 10 pm daily. coming weekend there service between newark & wtc.
