electrical power systems prone slight variations in voltage due demand or other factors. many former 220 v countries have converted or in process of converting eu standard of 230 v. generally, difference inconsequential, appliances built tolerate current percentage above or below rated voltage. however, severe variations in current can damage electrical equipment.

in plug points written 220v, in other 230v , 240v..?? why difference...?
