How do I build a boat for science?


school have build boat can hold weight (up 10 lbs.) can't bigger 10 inches 10 inches 10 inches. problems can't made of styrofoam , teacher said had have quarter sized hole in boat touching water. hole can't plugged or have covering it.

how know sunk:
1. bottom of boat touches bottom of pool
2.the boat capsizes
3. water starts coming in on sides of hull

test boat placing in bucket of water 30 inches deep , put 1 pound weight on it, if doesn't sink putting 5 pound weight on, etc.

can use other mateial , use style boat such catamaran, raft, sphere, barge, etc. main questions are: style boat best holding weight , not tipping over? materials best floating , supporting weight? , how deal mandatory hole in bottom.

please need bring grade up!!!!!
