Could these new low energy LED bulbs coupled with solar cells provide street and public lighting?


apparently, these low energy led's can last 100,000 hours. if used them 10 hours day have close on thirty years use before being replaced. solar cells can generate enough power during day in country power them @ night. imagine bank of leds enough create enough light illuminate section of street powered stored solar power. amount of energy saved surely justify initial cost of setting them up. current sodium bulbs break , costly replace plus cost small fortune run. power produced in our power stations producing co2 how co2 produced light our public areas must phenomenal. forward comments.
